Business Travel and Occupational Accident
The Business Travel and Occupational Accident Insurance Plan provides extra protection if you die or are severely injured in an accident while performing your occupation, or while you are traveling on company business. These benefits are paid in addition to amounts paid from your life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) plans.

How the Plan Works
If you die as a result of an accident while you are performing your occupation, or while you are traveling on company business, your Basic Life Insurance beneficiary will receive the Business Travel and Occupational Accident death benefit in addition to benefits provided under Basic Life Insurance, Supplemental Life Insurance, Basic AD&D Insurance, and Supplemental AD&D Insurance, if you are enrolled in those plans. Your beneficiary will need to file a claim for benefits.
If you become paralyzed as a result of an accident while performing your occupation, or while traveling on company business, you will receive the applicable benefit. You’ll need to file a claim for the paralysis benefit.
If an accident results in the loss of your hand, foot, hearing, or sight, you’ll receive the applicable benefit. You’ll need to file a claim for these benefits.
